Terms of Service
Last updated: 01/06/2026
These Terms of Service apply when you use the MAER Keys website, request a quote, make an enquiry, book a service, or engage MAER Keys for mobile auto electrical or car key programming services.
By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms.
About MAER Keys
MAER Keys provides mobile auto electrical and car key programming services across Perth, Western Australia.
Services may include auto electrical diagnostics, wiring fault finding, battery and starting issue checks, lighting faults, 12V accessory work, trailer plug support, car key programming, spare key programming, and related services.
Quotes and Enquiries
Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer. This may include vehicle make, model, year, suburb, symptoms, fault details, photos, or other relevant information.
A quote may change if the information provided is incomplete, inaccurate, or if further faults or complications are found after inspection.
Submitting a quote request does not guarantee that we can complete the requested work. Some vehicles, key systems, security systems, parts, programming requirements, or fault conditions may require additional checks, specialist access, dealer involvement, or services outside our scope.
Bookings and Attendance
Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
Customers must provide a safe and suitable location for mobile work to be carried out. This includes reasonable access to the vehicle, permission to work at the location, and a safe working environment.
If the vehicle is not available, cannot be accessed, or the customer is not present at the agreed time, a call-out or cancellation fee may apply if previously agreed.
Call-Out Fees and Diagnostic Fees
Call-out fees, inspection fees, diagnostic fees, and labour charges may apply depending on the job, location, and work required.
Where a diagnostic or inspection fee applies, this covers the time, travel, equipment use, and assessment required. It does not guarantee that a fault can always be repaired immediately or that every vehicle system can be accessed or programmed.
Parts, Keys, and Programming
Some repairs, keys, remotes, modules, accessories, or parts may need to be ordered or supplied separately.
Car key programming and vehicle security work can vary depending on vehicle make, model, year, immobiliser system, software access, available key data, and vehicle condition.
We will take reasonable care when carrying out programming or diagnostic work, but some vehicles may have existing faults, communication issues, electrical faults, low battery voltage, previous poor repairs, damaged modules, or security restrictions that affect the outcome.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the vehicle and issue.
Customers must confirm they have legal authority to request work on the vehicle.
For key programming or security-related work, proof of ownership, identity, or authorisation may be required before work begins.
Payment
Payment terms will be confirmed before or at the time of service.
Payment may be required on completion of the job, unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, or other agreed payment options.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible.
A cancellation fee may apply if a booking is cancelled late, if we have already travelled to the location, or if parts or keys have been ordered specifically for the job, where this was explained or agreed beforehand.
Limitations
We aim to provide reliable, practical, and professional service, but we cannot guarantee that every fault can be diagnosed or repaired on the first visit.
Some faults may require further testing, parts replacement, workshop equipment, dealer-level access, specialist tools, or additional time.
We are not responsible for unrelated faults, pre-existing vehicle issues, previous poor repairs, customer-supplied faulty parts, or faults that become apparent during inspection or repair.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
Where a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
